First-Year Daisy Meeting Plan

If this is your first year as a Daisy troop leader, figuring it all out can undoubtedly be very confusing. Which badges should you start with? Should you do all the petals first?

This was my first-year Daisy plan. Each link takes you to a separate blog post that walks you through different activities you can do to fulfill the requirements of each badge or petal.

Yes, I combined some of the petals. Yes, the Volunteer Toolkit (VTK) was helpful during this time, however, I soon learned that if I didn't like what the VTK suggested, I could easily find other ideas on Pinterest and in Girl Scout leader Facebook groups. (Daisy Scouts - GS is a good one.)

Why are there only five meeting plans for the first year? While the new Girl Scout year begins October 1, due to circumstances outside of our control, our troop didn't get started until January. So we had monthly meetings from January to June. And our April meeting was a sewing meeting where the girls only earned a fun patch. (The girls sewed heart-shaped pillows for their lost teeth.)

If you've already been through your first Daisy year, which badges and/or petals did you earn? Are there any other badges or petals that you're looking for information on?
