All American Family

This is for the Scrap it with a Song Week 12 challenge: America the Beautiful. This is such a fun challenge site because every week a different song is used to inspire scrapbookers. I love music, so Scrap it with a Song is just perfect for me!

On this LO I used Recollections solid cardstock, American Crafts Thicker letters, American Crafts patterned paper, Target $1 bin ribbon (seriously some cute scrapbook stuff in the $1 bin right now), some random star stickers, and my Signo white pen. I love my Signo.

And can I just say how amazing it is that 14 years after a song first came out, I still know all the words? The husband and I saw The Verve Pipe last night in Brooklyn (yes, hipster central...) and the band, of course, played "The Freshman", which was popular way back when I was in 7th grade. (FYI, that link plays the song via iLike, if you want to hear it.) Now how can I remember the words to a song from when I was 13 but I sometimes forget to put on deodorant in the morning??
