The City of Stardust Book Review

Violet's mother has gone missing on an "adventure", and her uncles have done all they can to keep Violet protected and hidden. From what, Violet doesn't know. Until one day, Violet is found by the one person who wasn't supposed to find her, and Violet's uncles make a bargain: 10 more years to find her mother, or Violet gets taken in her mother's place.

This sets off Violet's own adventure to find her mother or the thing her mother is searching for to break her family's curse. The hunt takes her around the world and into other worlds she's only read about in storybooks. Time is running out for Violet as the fairy tales from her childhood come to life, and she learns the truth about her family and the worlds beyond this one.

If you like books that take you to different worlds and introduce you to different beings, then you'll love the magical world Georgia Summers has created in The City of Stardust. It's got romance, mythology, violence, and action - plenty of everything for all types of readers.

The City of Stardust is published by Redhook and will be available to purchase tomorrow (1/30/24)! I received a free ARC from the publisher.
