May Challenge YOUrself Scrapbook Challenge - Process 231

It's time for another themed challenge at Challenge YOUrself! This month, we're challenging you to scrapbook a photo of yourself with the prompt of "I love..." We can't wait to see what you create! Be sure to enter your scrapbook layout here for a chance to win a prize.

This is my take on the challenge theme: a photo of me and my family. You can see how this came together in this process video.

I used a page kit from Paper Issues to make this scrapbook page. With the Simple Stories love-themed patterned papers and ephemera, it was just perfect for scrapbooking a photo about what I love: my family.

I used my new heart stencil from Scrapbook.com to add a few mixed media hearts on the white cardstock. This was my first time using it, and it didn't turn out exactly how I had hoped, but that's okay! I use it again on another layout, so you'll just have to stay tuned to the YouTube channel to see how that turned out. (Second time's the charm.)

Of course, I had to add some misting spray splatters to finish off the page. I used some blue and pink from Tim Holtz.

And that's it for today! Thanks for looking!
