February Freaky Fast Formula Challenge - Scrapbook Process 211

Don't worry! I submitted this layout before the end of last month for a chance to win a prize from The ScrapRoom. But I wanted to share with you my take on last month's Freaky Fast Formula challenge and remind you to play along with the March challenge!

You can see all the details of how this scrapbook page came together when you watch my process video.

Once again, I used up pieces from my stash. These are all leftover patterned papers and embellishments from my Echo Park Teen Squad collection. I wanted to use this challenge to (hopefully) KILL THIS KIT! Not that I like when I use up a really rad paper collection, but...

I added some sequins for some shininess to the layout. The sequin mix that I used (from Buttons Galore & More, I believe) included some purple crowns, so I stuck one of those on my daughter's head. She was the queen of Monopoly Junior when we played my childhood version over Christmas break.

The rest of the sequins were literally thrown across the page in a diagonal line. Yes, I love the randomness of it, but it doesn't work for everyone.

You'll also notice some mixed media on the background. I used Kitsch Flamingo and the package technique, then finished up with some splatters.

Thanks for looking!
