Mindfulness Journal for Parents Book Review

If you've been meaning to start rethinking your parenting strategy this year, it's not too late! And the Mindfulness Journal for Parents is a great place to start.

The book is filled with prompts that get you thinking differently about your reactions to a crisis, your values and priorities, and your goals for your family. The main objective here is to help you stay calm, present, and connected, parenting your children from a place of compassion and communication.

I can't say that it's been a life-changer for me just yet. I've been slowly making my way through this book for a few months now, and I do like how accessible the book is. You can easily read one or two prompts as you have the time - maybe right before you go to bed, on your morning public transportation commute, or during your lunch break. But expect to need more than just a few minutes to actually think and respond to each prompt. The book gives you plenty of space to journal your answers and thoughts, but it's up to you to provide the necessary space and time to actually do the assignment.

This book will only make you a calmer parent if you put its principles into action.

Mindfulness Journal for Parents is published by Rockridge Press and is available to purchase now. I received a free review copy.
