Homemade Chalk Paint Recipe

Sidewalk chalk is always a fun outdoor and creative activity at our house, but did you know there's another way to create with chalk and you can make it yourself? It's easy to make chalk paint! Apartment Guide shared a recipe for homemade chalk paint using materials you probably already have at home.

There are different ways to make your own chalk paint, and this is a chalk paint recipe with cornstarch. The full list of ingredients of chalk paint are:

• 2 cups of cornstarch
• 2 cups of water
• measuring cups
• food coloring
• stir sticks
• 6-cup muffin pan (I used six mini ramekins)
• paintbrushes

To make DIY chalk paint, mix the cornstarch with the water until smooth. Then, distribute evenly in a 6-cup muffin pan. Add drops of food coloring to each and mix until blended. Then, grab a paintbrush and start painting on the sidewalk or driveway with your homemade chalk paint!

I think this is definitely the best chalk paint recipe because you don't need any special ingredients. I had all of these supplies in my kitchen and pantry.
