In honor of Food Allergy Awareness Month and Celiac Disease Awareness Month, I wanted to share with you some new gluten-free and allergen-free snacks and foods that you'll want to stock your pantry with STAT.
1. Ancient Harvest
2. Creation Nation
You might have seen this woman-owned brand on Shark Tank this month! And if you did, you'll know that Creation Nation no-bake mixes for making protein bars and balls are gluten-free, soy-free, and vegan. If you don't know, here's how it works: add water, plus your favorite nut butter and syrup. This allows you to control the sugar and customize the mix to your liking. Mix, roll, and have a ball!
3. GoGo squeez Pudding Cups
Get ready for the first plant-based pudding in a pouch: GoGo squeez AlmondBlend Pudding! This pudding provides 5 grams of protein per serving and 30 percent less sugar compared to traditional dairy pudding. It doesn't need refrigeration, and you don't need a spoon to enjoy the chocolate, banana, cocoa-hazelnut, and vanilla flavors. These are also gluten-free! Perfect snack to pack in a kid's lunchbox once we get into the new school year!
4. Made Good
Made Good's new chocolate drizzled granola bars feature three sweet flavors: Birthday Cake, Vanilla, and Cookie Crumble. Perfect for snacking at home or on the go, each bar is gluten-free, dairy-free, and organic with nutrients from six different fruits and vegetables, including spinach, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, beets, and mushrooms! These are delicious.
5. Dino Bars
These all-natural fruit bars for kids remind me of the fruit leather I used to eat as a kid. Except what I ate as a kid probably wasn't non-GMO, certified USDA organic, or free from nuts, soy, gluten, and dairy. That's what you get from Dino Bars! The Strawberry, Blueberry, and Mango flavors contain just 10 healthy, all-natural ingredients. And the paper wrapped around the bar? It's edible!
6. Chickapea Pasta
Pasta made from chickpeas is nothing new, but the brand Chickapea is new to the market. And they're the only pastas made from organic chickpeas and lentils. These pastas are high in fiber, low in fat, and gluten-free! Plus, they're vegan, which means non-dairy folks like me can also enjoy them. Dairy-free mac and cheese for the win!
7. Little GF Chefs
Now kids with food allergies can also have fun baking in the kitchen with subscription kits made just for them. All Little GF Chefs kits come pre-packaged with safe ingredients and easy-to-follow recipe cards. You can make confetti cake pops (check out my video here), cookie dough hearts, "Pop Tarts", pizza, and pretzel bites. And during Celiac Disease Awareness Month, the company is donating 10 percent of May sales to the National Celiac Association.
I am vegan AND stick to a gluten free diet. Loved this issue of your blog. Some great suggestions.
