Holiday Placemat Coloring Pages

One of the things I tend to dread about holiday family gatherings is keeping my little one from getting antsy at the dining room table. Just let a mama eat, kid!

And one of the things I love to use to keep her busy is a coloring page or coloring placemat.

Insurance company Hippo has graciously provided me and my readers some free downloadable holiday placemat coloring pages to keep your kids (or yourself) entertained at the dinner table - no matter what kind of gathering you're having this year.

Some ways to use these coloring page placemats:

- laminate them and have kids draw and color with Dry-Erase markers for a reusable activity

- have kids decorate them in advance, one placemat for each member of the family

- give a coloring placemat to each member of the family with a big cup of crayons and markers within easy reach, and let your stomachs digest dinner while you color and wait for dessert

- just let your kid go wild with coloring while you finish off a slice of pie or finish an adult conversation with your Aunt Alice

And if you're looking for more holiday activities to do on the big day or during winter break, check out the Hippo website for eight more ideas!
