Josie's Best Gluten-Free Mixes - Review

Because I was an official Nourished Festival blogger, several exhibitors sent me their products in advance of the show to share and review.

One of those exhibitors was Josie's Best. This company makes gluten-free pancake, waffle, muffin, and crepe mixes with the goal of bringing back those Saturday and Sunday slow breakfast mornings for people with Celiac disease.

Also need your mixes to be free from other allergens? You're in luck! Josie's Best mixes are also nut-free, soy-free, GMO-free, and can be made dairy-free and/or vegan by using non-dairy milk and an egg substitute.

The mixes couldn't be easier to prepare. Just follow the instructions on the package to mix the milk, oil, egg, and vanilla (optional) with the baking mix, then cook and eat.

We've done both The Waffle mix and The Pancake mix as breakfast for dinner, and both turned out great. Even bigger win? These mixes are kid-approved! My 4.5-year-old ate her whole waffle on waffle night, and then ate one and a half pancakes when we made flapjacks on National Pancake Day. And this is a kid whose first table food was Eggo frozen pancakes.
