End Credits Book Review

Have you ever taken a job that you thought you'd love only to find out that it's a drain on your time and energy? That's what Patty Lin discovered when she started writing for TV. And that's the story Lin writes about in her memoir End Credits: How I Broke Up with Hollywood.

Lin's writing credits include Friends, Freaks and Geeks, Desperate Housewives, and Breaking Bad. Sounds cool, right? It would have been if not for show cancellations, worrying about where the next job was coming from, abusive bosses, boyfriends afraid to commit, workaholics, and racism.

And that's why Lin left the business behind. Of course, there's more to the story, such as growing up in New Jersey, working for David Letterman, partying with Salma Hayek, and therapy. Seriously, some of these stories, man...

Even if you've never worked in Hollywood, I think that most women can find something of themselves or their experience in Lin's story.

End Credits is published by Zibby Books and is available to purchase now. I received a review copy from the publisher.
