Find Your Passion Book Review

If you've ever wanted to know how to turn your passion into a lucrative career, then you might want to give Jim Panos' book Find Your Passion: How to Create a Career with More Success and Fulfillment a read. There are things I liked about this book and things I didn't like about it. So let's break it down.

What I Liked

Essentially, in order to turn your passion into a career, you need to identify what your passion is. You know, that thing that you were placed on this planet to do.

You also need to get rid of limiting beliefs. You know, those thoughts that are constantly stopping you from doing something: "I can't...", "I don't have...", "I'm not..."

STOP THINKING THOSE.

The book is very in-depth in getting you to think through every aspect of finding your passion, even going so far as to recommend you take a day or several days all to yourself to do your passion work. (I'm all about a mom-only vacation...)

What I Didn't Like

I don't think putting yourself on the cover of a book, especially when you're not a household name, is the best way to attract readers. Don't judge a book by its cover, but...

I also didn't like the way the book was organized. It definitely needed better formatting to make it easier to identify sections within the chapters. I also think that some of the passages could have been broken out into boxes as a bonus read within each chapter.

Those are just cosmetic issues that could be improved upon in subsequent publications.

**

This book doesn't look very big, but when you really dive into it and read every little thing, you'll see that it's not a book you can read in a weekend and have all the answers. You'll need to take your time with this one, answering all the questions and really doing the "passion work" with a serious and positive attitude.

Did I find my passion after reading this book? Not yet. But I also didn't have the time to go through every little thing. I did, however, bookmark all the important pages so that I could go back to them when I do have the time. Stay tuned!

Find Your Passion is published by Jim Panos and is available for purchase now. I received a free review copy.
