Mix It Up Monday October Challenge - Scrapbook Process 272

It's time for another Mix It Up Monday challenge! I didn't participate last month, but I'm back for this month's challenge. What is Mix It Up Monday? The second Monday of every month, a group of scrapbookers take a sketch and mix it up using mixed media. This is sponsored by Anna at Piece Craft Love and Kimberly from I'd Rather Be Scrapbooking.

In today's process video, you'll see how I use stamps, ink, and misting spray to create the background of this 12x12 scrapbook layout. You'll also find the full list of participants so you can hop along and see what everyone else is doing!

I used some old stamps to create clusters of flowers and words to pop out from behind the photos. Then I layered up some patterned paper scraps from last month's Best of Both Worlds kit behind the photos to sort of create three little sections, each with its own stamps and embellishment clusters.

I finished things up with three colors of misting spray from Nuvo, Lindy's Stamp Gang, and Tim Holtz. (I may have gotten some splatters on one of the photos, but it's okay!)

Stamping is not something that I usually do on my scrapbook layouts, so this was a fun challenge. How often do you stamp on your scrapbook layouts?

Thanks for looking!
