Kids' Arts & Crafts Inspiration: Crayon Resist Watercolor Painting

I took a quick break from my scrapbook inspiration from kids' arts & crafts series, but I'm back this week with a new layout and process video. This one uses a crayon resist watercolor technique for a unique mixed media background.

To go along with pictures of my daughter typing on both a real computer and a toy computer, I wrote an alphabet background with a white crayon on a piece of white cardstock. And then keeping in mind the color of the paper scraps I wanted to use, I painted a design over the white crayon with Crayola watercolors.

The photos are size 2x3 because I got a Canon mini printer for Mother's Day, and I'm loving it! It's so easy now to print out smaller sized photos whenever I want. Total game changer for my scrapbooking. Did you get any fun scrappy goodies for Mother's Day?

A few splatters here and there with Shimmerz sprays and the layout is complete! Thanks for looking!
