Impact Snacks Review

I'm always on the lookout for new gluten-free and dairy-free foods, so I was excited to receive a press release for Impact Snacks, a superfood bar with an even greater mission than just giving people something delicious to eat.

The company sent me a free box of its Iced Caramel Latte and a free box of the Dark Chocolate Brownie flavors to review.

So what are Impact Snacks? Made with nothing but the good stuff (Lion's Mane, Maca Root, Pea Protein, and Kale - to name a few), these are 100-percent plant-based, soy-free, and gluten-free bars.

But who is Impact Snacks? It's a company trying to change the way people look at single-use products by making everyday snacking sustainable. Every Impact Snacks bar you eat creates real change by reclaiming one pound of carbon in the form of green energy infrastructure and trees planted.

The company never uses plastic since every piece of plastic ever created still exists. (That's a really sad and disgusting fact.) While the bar wrappers feel like traditional oil-based plastic, they're actually 100-percent biodegradable bio-cellulose wrappers. You can even eat it!

So let's take a look at the flavors.

Iced Caramel Latte

  • 12g of plant-based pea protein
  • 6g of prebiotic fiber
  • made of almonds, maca, and kale
  • organic vanilla with sea salt and coffee

Dark Chocolate Brownie

  • 10g of plant-based pea protein
  • 6g of prebiotic fiber
  • made of maca, kale, and lion's mane
  • bittersweet chocolate interior with a chocolate coating and hints of vanilla
And what did I think?

The Dark Chocolate Brownie almost had a minty flavor. It was a nice consistency and definitely kept me full thanks to all that fiber and protein.

Unfortunately, the Iced Caramel Latte contains coffee, and as someone who avoids caffeine for migraine-prevention purposes, I was unable to test out this flavor.

But you should totally try these out for yourself and see what you think. You can get a box of seven bars in either Iced Caramel Latte or Dark Chocolate Brownie for $21.

And let me know if you try to eat the wrapper!
