Thank you so much to UNITE Food for sending me a free 12-pack variety box of its new gluten-free protein bars. I was so excited to try out the three new flavors: Churro, Mexican Hot Chocolate, and PB & Jelly.
As a family that eats gluten-free and dairy-free due to Celiac disease and lactose-intolerance, it's always nice to find snacks that are healthy and meet our dietary restrictions. These protein bars are packed with nut butters, hemp seeds, and prebiotic fiber.
Oh, and each bar contains 10 grams of protein!
Churro and PB & Jelly are gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free. And you can see those disclaimers right on the front of the package. Churro is a mix of crunchy almonds, vanilla, and toffee bits dusted with cinnamon. If you need a sweet pick-me-up, Churro is the one. PB & Jelly was my favorite. Its creamy peanut butter is peppered with sweet strawberry jam bits. It really does taste like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich!
Mexican Hot Chocolate does contain milk, so I wasn't able to sample this one. But I heard from a reliable source that it's a little bit spicy thanks to its dark chocolate base with hints of cinnamon and warm chili.
