Full Scrapbook Page - Challenge YOUrself

So happy to share my first layout as part of the Challenge YOUrself design team. This month's challenge is to scrap a picture of you and your One Little Word for the year. Don't know what One Little Word is? You can find more information about it from fellow crafter Ali Edwards here.

My word for 2020 is "full". I want to be more joyful, hopeful, peaceful, and full of love. This was inspired by this year's Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) theme: to the full. That theme was taken from a Bible verse, and I've journaled that verse around the border of my layout.

I used some random bits and pieces from my stash to complete this layout, and I'm pleased with how it all came together. There's some Shimelle, October Afternoon, Cosmo Cricket (remember them?), American Crafts, Echo Park, and even a sticker that I received in my MOPS membership packet.

The photo was a selfie I took last spring while waiting outside at a bus stop. The tree behind me was in full bloom, and I loved how the sunlight looked shining down on my head. I posted the photo to social media, and everyone who knew me said how much I reminded them of my mom in this photo. We really did look a lot alike when I was wearing my glasses. So this photo and entire layout has a lot of meaning for me.

I'll be putting it in my book of me. If you play along, where will you place your layout? And I do hope you play along for a chance to win a prize. All you have to do is take the theme of "one little word" and scrapbook a photo (or photos) that have YOU in them. You can find more information here.

Make 2020 the year you get out from behind the camera and in front of it!
