October 2019 To-Read List

This month there are eight books on my to-read list, but that doesn't count the book I didn't get to in August and the two leftovers from September. Oops. Maybe I'll get through all of these books this month and have time to catch up on one of those! You can find out more about my October 2019 to-read list in this YouTube video.

The Cheat Diet by Jackie Wicks
I picked up this book at the Dollar Tree the other week. It was only $1!! Apparently, you get a certain number of "cheat" foods every day, so that sounds okay with me. Especially if I can lose 12 pounds in three weeks, as the book claims.

Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert
I picked up an ARC of this book at BookCon earlier this year. This book, about a woman who decides to really live her life, comes out in November. Look for a review on the blog timed to the release date.

Jesus, Day by Day by Sharon Kaselonis
I'm on the launch team for this book, but I've done a terrible job with it. The book came out September 17, but I'm just now getting around to reading and reviewing it. I'll let you know what I think of this devotional as soon as I finish it.

The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery
I thought I had read this book as a child, but maybe I was wrong. We'll see if re-reading it jogs my memory.

Eight Dates by John Gottman and Julie Schwartz Gottman
I can't recall who or what recommended this book to me, but it's all about eight essential conversations that anyone in a long-term relationship should have. I'm looking forward to seeing what insight it can present to my 10-year marriage.

American Royals by Katharine McGee
I received a free review copy of this book through work. It's a young adult novel (that came out last month) about an American royal family. So, essentially, a "what if" type story.

Becoming by Michelle Obama
I feel like I'm the last person to read this book. Really looking forward to it. I've heard good things about it, but it's been so hard to get at my library!

You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero
I'm reading this book for an upcoming book club. I hope that it sparks some good discussion with the book club attendees. I'll let you know what we think of it afterward.

Let me know what you guys are reading! I'm always looking for new book recommendations!
