Grist Mill Road - Book Review

If you can get past the gruesomeness of some parts, then Christopher J. Yates' Grist Mill Road is a definite book club read. I just HAVE to discuss the ending with someone!

Back in 1982, three teenagers were involved in a violent incident. Flash forward 26 years and two of them are now married, while the third one has found a way back into their lives.

I don't want to write too much and give something away, but this is one of those stories where not everything is as it seems, including the entire story of what happened back in the '80s and why it happened.

The book is divided into three parts, with each part being divided into a third-person present-day and a recap of the incident as told from the perspective of one of the three main characters. It's amazing the things we don't know about the lives of other people, including those closest to us.

Grist Mill Road is published by Picador and is available in hardcover and paperback now. I received a free hardcover copy at BookExpo America.
