Over at the Stick It Down challenge blog, they are collaborating with the other challenge blog White with 1. So that means if you use one of the Stick It Down sketches and follow the color scheme from White with 1, you can enter BOTH challenges!
That's what I did on this layout, which is going in my Book of Me.
As you can see, the color challenge was white with elephant grey. You can basically only use those two colors with some navy, brown, or black as contrast. I was REALLY surprised at how much grey I had in my stash.
Finding the papers was easy. Those came from a Recollections paper pad. And then I discovered some silvery feather rub-ons and some silvery Tim Holtz border stickers. Perfect!
I also had some grey enamel dots sitting out on my desk from another project, so I added those. And I kept my title white and grey, too, with some foam alphas.
My finished layout isn't an exact replica of the Stick It Down single-page sketch, but that's kind of the point of a sketch challenge. It's all in how you interpret it. This is my interpretation!
Thanks for looking!
