Love Lives Here - Book Review

With a subtitle of "Finding What You Need in a World Telling You What You Want", Maria Goff's Love Lives Here sounds like it will be a self-help type of book. Instead, it's more of a memoir. Maria tells stories from her life and lessons learned along the way in an attempt to pass some wisdom to the reader.

Each chapter covers a different "advice" topic, such as making sure you take time to rest and surrounding yourself with people you trust, or in Maria's words, your own "Board of Directors".

While I enjoyed reading the book, it definitely wasn't what I was expecting. There wasn't anything new or absolutely life-changing in the book, but I applaud Maria for sharing some tough stories and wanting to help others navigate the bumpy road of life.

This would probably be a good Bible study book, or at least a book to discuss with others. Perhaps with your own "Board of Directors".
