Being a Christian is hard, but that's why The Babylon Bee wrote How to Be a Perfect Christian. After reading this book's 10 chapters, you too can achieve Christ-like perfection. Because isn't that what Christianity is all about?
Okay, no. This book is satire, you guys. It pokes fun at certain Christian stereotypes, and while it is a humorous book, there were parts that definitely hit close to home and made think, "Oh, they're talking about me."
It's funny because it's true.
From find a church community that meets all of your rigid standards to shunning secular movies and music, and judging other Christians to prove how much "holier than thou" you are, this book, in its own way, calls out Christians for attempting to DO good things to gain honor and glory while forgetting that God extends grace to all of us through the death of Jesus Christ.
I received this book to review for free from the Waterbrook & Multnomah Launch Team.
