Hello Mornings - Book Review

Everyone has three minutes in the morning.

I didn't really believe it before I started reading Hello Mornings by Kat Lee. I thought, I'm so busy, especially on the mornings I work. How in the world can I add in something else to my morning routine?

But you guys, it really is oh-so-easy. Because all it is is God, Plan, Move.

And this is coming from the person who failed at the whole First Five challenge several years ago where I was supposed to give my first five minutes every morning to God. I even made a scrapbook layout about it. And that was before my long commute and kid. Geesh.

You're probably wondering how in the world you can come up with an entire book based on that plan but you can because the book goes more in depth about why it's important that we start our day with these three minutes and why each of the three parts of the Hello Mornings plan is essential for giving our days the best possible starts as well as our overall lives.

Now, you're not supposed to just keep at it with the three minutes for the rest of your days. Once you get in the habit of doing your God, Plan, Move routine, you're supposed to grow the routine. Maybe you start spending extra time doing Bible journaling. Maybe you add in a few jumping jacks and crunches to the move portion. It's going to look different for everyone depending on each individual's season and stage of life.

Right now for me, three minutes is about all I've got every morning between working and waking up with a very attached toddler. But as things progress in my life, I can totally see myself changing up my routine and looking to the online Hello Mornings community for inspiration on how to grow my new morning routine.
