My guest designer stint at Lasting Memories continues with the third holiday tradition challenge. It's a Tic Tac Toe challenge. Here's the board:
All you have to do is choose one row vertically, horizontally, or diagonally and use the supplies in that row on your layout. I choose to do green, two types of alphas, and buttons.
As you can see, I've got a solid green background paper and some old green Crate Paper patterned paper. Plus, I used some Recollections green glitter glue.
My alphas are both older sets of American Crafts Thickers. I liked the sparkly silver ones because they felt very festive, but the burlap ones fit in nicely (I thought) because I tied burlap twine around my picture, which is of my daughter in front of the tree at Six Flags Holiday in the Park.
And then I also sprinkled buttons throughout the layout, treating them as I've been seeing people treat sequins. I liked that this button mix was red with some red-and-white striped buttons and some glittery red buttons. And they came in different sizes. It was perfect!
I also used some older Christmas embellishments from my stash to complete the layout. I really should have done a process video for this because it was a bit of a process and it was my first time using the glitter glue. But alas, I started working on it when I didn't actually think I would start working on it, so I didn't have a camera rolling.
I'd love to see what you guys create, so head on over to the Lasting Memories blog and link up your creations for a chance to win a prize!
