Broadway Bites in NYC's Greeley Square - Oct. 28-Nov. 24

If you find yourself in New York City between now and November 24 and you're hungry, head over to Greeley Square (located at 33rd street between Broadway & Sixth Avenue) for Broadway Bites! This pop-up culinary food market (organized by UrbanSpace) brings talented chefs and small, growing businesses to one accessible location and also offers New York workers something aside from chain food for lunch.

Broadway Bites is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., so it's perfect for lunch or dinner. There are 25 vendors serving delicious creations made using local ingredients. And because the market is being held outdoors in the fall, most of the dishes are fresh takes on comfort food.

My office is near Greeley Square, so I was able to check out Broadway Bites on its opening day. There was a lot of apple cider for sale!! But I chose to check out a cheddarwurst from Dorrian's Winter Garden and a delicious and warm pumpkin spice bagel ball injected with pumpkin cream cheese (it's called The Jack) from Bantam Bagels.

Because this market is open through November 24, there is plenty of time for me to go back and sample more food! I've got my eye on pretzels from Sigmund's Pretzels and lobster mac and cheese from Red Hook Lobster Pound. There's even a vendor called Jicama selling gluten-free food and Mexican drinking chocolate!

And you've got plenty of time to check out Broadway Bites, too! If you've got a vacation planned to NYC, put this on your list of places to visit. And if you work nearby Greeley Square, definitely take your lunch break outside of the office at least one day until the end of November so you can sample this really cool market. 1. Yummy! Pop-up restaurants and markets are the big thing now. I doubt we will have any in this part of Jersey, so at least that is one positive of working in NYC!
