Just What Kind of Mother Are You? - Book Review

Just What Kind of Mother Are You? by Paula Daly IS SO GOOD!!!!! I couldn't put it down! Imagine if you were a busy working mom who became so harried that your actions, or lack of action, caused another woman's child to go missing? That's the basic premise of this book.

There's a child molester on the loose. He's abducted one girl and released her, but now 13-year-old Lucinda Riverty has gone missing and everyone fears the worst. Turns out, Lucinda was supposed to be spending the night at her friend Sally's house and then go to school the next day. But a miscommunication meant that Lucinda never arrived at Sally's house. And Sally's overworked mother, Lisa, was too busy to notice or remember.

Lucinda's mother, Kate, is friends with Lisa, but now Kate and her family blame Lisa for Lucinda's disappearance. Of course, Lisa also blames herself. But as the detectives and Lisa begin to dig deeper into Lucinda's disappearance, they discover that not everything is as it appears to be. The ending is just plain crazy and crazy good! This is a great thriller and fantastic debut novel!

Just What Kind of Mother Are You? is published by Grove Press and is available to purchase now. I received a free advance review copy at Book Expo America. There was no obligation to post a review of the book, but that's what I do!
