It's beginning to look a lot like....

 ... HALLOWEEN!!!

I finally broke out the Halloween decorations last night. I had meant to do it last weekend but, well, it's hard to get motivated to do anything with a tissue up your nose. Both nostrils to be exact. TMI?

I was actually surprised by how few Halloween decorations we have. I thought we had more. Oh well. Just another excuse to go buy some new decorations when they go on sale at the end of this month?

We also have some window decals that I put on the little window panes next to our front door. (I didn't take a picture of them b/c it was dark out and I wasn't sure how well the picture would turn out.) I figure it's the best place for the decals (ghosts, spooky trees, a haunted house, gravestones, bats, clouds) because if we get trick or treaters, they'll be able to see the decals when they come up to the door.

I'd really like to get some outdoor decorations, as well. Maybe a fake bale of hay. (Cuz, you know, I'm allergic to real hay.) And then we could put a carved pumpkin on top of it.

How are you decorating for Halloween?

  1. I don't really decorate for Halloween, but I do have a pretty Fall wreath on my front door. I also will be getting some pumpkins soon and will plant some mums in our front planters. :) I totally hear ya about the tissues stuffed up the nostrils....I've been that way for 3 weeks now! :(

  2. I'm not much for the halloweeny decorations, but I do love anything harvest related. The only harvesty decoration I have at the moment is a gorgeous hurricane style mosaic candle holder with a wreath of fall leaves and fruit surrounding it. One day I'll start collecting more!

  3. Well, I think you saw my blog post with my Halloween decorations, so you know what I'm doing for that. We also carve pumpkins with the kids, so that we be coming up soon!

I also wanted to let you know that I really enjoy reading your blog! You keep me interested in the things you cook and bake and I love to see what you scrap too! I think if I met you in person, you and I would make great friends! Here's to cyber-friendship! Cheers! :)

  4. You got your desire to decorate with a "Halloweeny" emphasis from me (your mom). You know how much I love this holiday and seeing little kids dressed up. Do you have a Hobby Lobby up there because that is a great place to find decorations. Actually, I have been mixing Halloween with Autumn stuff. Love your blog and you.
