Good Finds

I haven't been writing much about our adventures eating gluten-free. But we're obviously still doing it and my husband is feeling much better. It's amazing to me how this diet is becoming more and more mainstream everywhere we go. There's an Italian restaurant near us (which is a miracle in itself since we live out in the boonies now) that has a HUGE gluten-free menu and the food is delicious. Our new local grocery store carries gluten-free flours and pasta. Betty Crocker makes gluten-free cake, brownie and cookie mixes. I saw a woman at the grocery store with gluten-free pretzels in her cart. We're not the only ones eating this way out here! It's just nice to know that it's really not hard to be gluten-free these days. It may cost more, but it's worth it if, gradually, the rest of America begins to understand this diet.

Anyway, those are just a few of my food "good finds". Now here are some "good finds" as pertains to scrapbooking.

"Near Us" - American Crafts patterned paper, Recollections solid cardstock, SEI embellishments, Scenic Route sticker letters, Colorbok Friendly Forest tag

I did this layout after seeing KariAnn S's awesome "Oh!" layout on her blog. Seriously, you have to check it out. Not only is "Oh!" a cute layout, but KariAnn does amazing work, so you're sure to find some nice inspiration. I really liked the frame on this one, although I made mine longer than KariAnn's (an accident...) but I still think it turned out well. I was happy to be able to use up items from my stash for the embellishments.

"B4 & Brand New!" - American Crafts patterned paper, American Crafts Thickers letters, random ribbon, random flower embellishments

Just me modeling my old broken glasses and my brand spanking new NON-broken ones. If you're looking for more scrapbook inspiration, take a peek at the Sketchy Thursdays blog. This layout is for sketch challenge 6.17.
