Daily Thought

I subscribe to the Real Simple Daily Thought email (there's an idea for a Christmas/birthday present for me - a subscription to Real Simple magazine!) and have found that the quotes are not only inspirational, but also really good for using on scrapbook layouts. Sometimes a really great quote can say more than any journaling I could ever come up with.

Take this quote, for example, that I used on a self-portrait LO: "Over the years I have learned that what is important in a dress is the woman who is wearing it." - Yves Saint Laurent

Or this one: "A laugh is a smile that bursts." - Mary H. Waldrip

(I love the design of this one. I need to scraplift myself!)

And a more recent layout: "There is something about a wedding gown prettier than any other gown in the world." - Douglas William Jerrold

Even if you don't know the person who said the quote, which happens to me often, Google their name and find out more about them. Or use the quote anyway. Doesn't matter who said it. It was said and said well!

So I'm sharing with you the quote from today and maybe you'll be able to use it on a layout:
"Not everything that is faced can be changed. But nothing can be changed until it is faced." - James Arthur Baldwin

Handwrite it, type it up and print it out, or find a quote and just let it inspire a theme for your layout. How you choose to use it is up to you! Let me know how it goes. I'd love to see and read some of your favorite quotes.
