We Are Kids

I am just now getting around to scrapping our circus pictures from last month. This is for a sketch challenge over at Sketchy Thursdays (hurry and upload your take on the sketch by 10pm EST on 4/28). The given sketch utilized blocks so this is what I came up with.

The paper is all pieces of scrap paper that I've kept for far too long. I've even got some old Scenic Route chipboard (haven't used that paper brand in FOREVER) and stickers on here. And of course, some sparkly American Crafts Thickers letters.

It feels good to see some old stuff in my stash getting used finally. It's all about taking the time and figuring out what can go with what, something that I usually find tedious. I'm so used to coordinating paper lines and embellies that when I look at my scrap drawer I'm like, "AH! NO!" But I read on other scrappers' blogs about how they just pulled this and that from their drawer and everything went together perfectly! But surely they have days where absolutely nothing works, right? Does mixing and matching random scraps ever overwhelm you?
