In Charge Book Review

If you're a woman who is tired of being tired, then you'll want to check out In Charge: The Energy Management Guide for Badass Women Who Are Tired of Being Tired. In this book, Dr. Arin Reeves writes about the core components that every woman needs (and wants) in her life, and how to go about filling our lives with those key things.

Why are we so tired? Because our energy isn't being diverted to the areas we want it. We're burned out because we are inefficiently using the energy in our systems. One of my favorite passages in the book is on page 38: "We are stressed out because of what we must do that we don't want to do." So we need to refocus our goals to make sure they are leading us to an outcome that we want through a journey that is positive.

Not only do you get to hear from Reeves, but she also includes real stories from other women that she's worked with to give examples of how a variety of different women solved their energy problem and got "in charge" of their lives.

Throughout the book, there is space for the reader to answer questions and reflect. I haven't answered the questions yet, but they are bookmarked for me to return when I have more time to sit and jot down my answers.

In the introduction, Reeves writes that perhaps this book is a bit disorganized, but I didn't find that to be the case. I enjoyed Reeves' writing style and sense of humor. This book would be a good one to read with a book club!

In Charge is published by ZRI Publishing and is available to purchase now. I received a free review copy.
