February 2020 To-Read List

I think I have a really good group of books for February, and even though it's a shorter month, I'm hoping that the extra Leap Year day and a business trip will offer up more reading time than I normally get. We'll see!

You can check out my February to-read video on the YouTube channel for a more in-depth conversation on these books (and how I did finishing up my climate change books last month).

But for now, here's a quick peek at my TBR:

Jesus Calling: Receiving Christ's Hope - Sarah Young and Karen Lee-Thorp
I actually started this devotional last month with a friend. It's been taking us awhile to get through the first "session", but we are hanging on.

Jesus Always Adult Coloring Book - Sarah Young
This is based on Sarah Young's Jesus Always book, and it features intricate coloring pages and hand lettering that gets you to focus on prayer as you color.

Fear of Dying - Erica Jong
I loved Fear of Flying, so when I saw this book at BookExpo in 2015, I grabbed up an ARC. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. So I pulled it off my shelf for this month.

Fearless - Max Lucado
This book was referenced in Jenni Catron's book Clout. I always feel like "fear" is my buzzword, the thing I always have to overcome. I've read so many books about it, and I will continue to read books about it for different perspectives and techniques.

Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway - Susan Jeffers
Another "fear" book that was also referenced in Clout. I think this book is a classic in the realm of self-help, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it has stood up over time.

Motherest - Kristen Iskandrian
I picked this up for a dollar at Dollar Tree. Felt like I'd heard of it before but not really sure. It's about a mother-daughter relationship and how the daughter feels becoming a mother.

Here I Am - Jonathan Safron Foer
I've read his books in the past but somehow missed this one coming out in 2016. I got this for a dollar at Dollar Tree, too. It's pretty big, so I might save this one for last.

Home Work - Julie Andrews
This book just came out last year, and I was lucky enough to get a discount copy of it over Christmas. Really excited to read this one, but I feel like I need to go to the library and check out her first memoir to be all caught up.
