I usually am not one to promote Gwyneth Paltrow's website Goop. Sometimes the tone of that site is a little pretentious. But I happened to click on a link for her site the other day and discovered some really cute and seemingly easy do-it-yourself holiday decorations. There are directions on making a really pretty pine wreath using items you might already have at home or that you can easily pick up at a local craft store. There is also a pretty flower/tea light creation that would make a beautiful table centerpiece. Either one of these items would be perfect to have in your home for the holidays or you could make them as a gift for someone else! (The flower/tea light centerpiece would be a great hostess gift any time of the year.) Christmas is this week, so if you're looking for last-minute crafty ideas, check out Gwyneth's website. She also has a section about food for those adventurous cookers out there. (I like my food to be a little bit easier and less time-consuming to make, but...)
