10 Toy Gift Ideas for Valentine's Day

When you think of Valentine's Day do you immediately think chocolate and candy? While those sweet treats are fun to receive (and eat!), these days, most parents are looking for non-candy alternatives to give for holidays such as Valentine's Day.

After much toy testing in my freelance position as Toy Reviewer for TTPM, I have compiled a list of 10 toy gift ideas that you can give this Valentine's Day. (Hurry - it's next week!)

1. Yummiland x Sweethearts Lip Gloss Dolls

These Valentine's Day-themed mini dolls feature a Sweethearts candy design, include the ingredients kids need to make sparkly scented lip gloss, and come in gift packaging!

2. Disney Munchlings Single Serve Collectible Plush

Nothing says "Happy Valentine's Day!" more than a Mickey Mouse-shaped sushi roll. Or how about blueberry yogurt Stitch? These scented mystery plush are fun to unbox and hug.

3. Scramboozle

This fun and compact puzzle game challenges kids (and adults) to shake, twist, and turn the colored balls inside the self-contained game unit to match the patterns shown in the challenge booklet. This makes a fun in-the-car game, but be aware that the shaking of the balls is loud.

4. Care Bears Sweet Serenity Bear, Color Splash Togetherness Bear, and Fun Size Sparkle Bears

Care Bears are all about spreading love and kindness, and this year, there are brand-new styles to collect and hug. From a bear that doubles as a fidget toy to a rainbow pattern for a favorite character, any of these plush bears will be a fun Valentine's Day gift.

5. Dissect-It Science Kits

Let's be honest. Dissecting a frog doesn't sound very Valentine's Day-ish, does it? But the smallest Dissect-It Science Kits make great gifts (and stocking stuffers and goody bag items) for curious kids. Available in Synthetic Ancient Amber Lab, Synthetic Owl Pellet Lab, Synthetic Pearl Shucking Lab, and Synthetic Butterfly Metamorphosis Lab, each kit comes with plastic tools to dig through the gel and reveal the mystery item inside.

6. Nee Doh Dream Drop

The Nee Doh Dream Drop is the ultimate fidget toy. Shaped like a drop of water, it has a great texture and a sparkly interior. It's available in blue, pink, or purple. This was one of my favorite toys from 2024!

7. LEGO Markers, Gel Pens, and Notebooks

If you've got a LEGO builder and artist in your home, then they will love drawing and creating with these colorful drawing and writing tools. Each one has LEGO bricks incorporated into the design so that you can stick them together or build on top of them.

8. Furby Furblets

Stuffed animals always make great Valentine's Day gifts, so how about a stuffed animal that interacts with you? Furblets, available in a variety of colorful styles, are smaller versions of the Furby. So small, in fact, that you can hold them in the palm of your hand or clip them to a backpack for on-the-go fun. Pressing their head, mouths, and hearts causes different silly reactions.

9. Force N Telling Vader

This Valentine's Day, the future is...dark? This cute fortune-telling toy brings everyone's favorite Star Wars villain to life with light-up eyes and more than 40 affirmative, negative, or neutral responses, some of which are new to the character.

10. Lite Brite Touch Mini (review coming soon)

This mini version of last year's Lite Brite Touch is more compact for on-the-go play, but it still includes two play modes and three built-in games. Pressing the buttons is fun for fidgeting, and creating colorful mini artwork inspires creativity.
