Using Up Scrap Paper Layout - Process 353

It's the end of the month, so I'm going through my bag of scrap paper to put together today's layout. The scrap paper is the leftovers of patterned paper used on other scrapbook layouts from July and August. Wanna see how I Frankenstein these scraps into a 12x12 layout? Watch today's process video!

To go along with the three beach photos, I picked some summery and beachy embellishments from my stash. I also grabbed a Simple Stories chipboard frame because I liked the colors, and I thought it would help me cut down two of the photos so that I could more easily fit three photos on one page.

I usually save my scrap paper in a plastic bag, but rarely do I dig into that bag and try to create layouts with those pieces. Usually, the scrap paper is reserved for DIY cards (which I need to do more of) and matting photos. How do you usually use your scrap paper?
