February Off the Board Challenge - Scrapbook Process 306

It's time for another Off the Board challenge! Every month, a group of scrapbookers takes one of our Pinterest pins and uses it to inspire us to create a layout. You can see how I put my layout together and get the full list of participants in the description box of my process video.

Here is the pin from Pretty in Posies that inspired me. It's a pocket page layout.

As you know, I do monthly pocket pages for all the leftover photos from the month. It's easy to get in a rut with these types of pages because everything has to fit inside a pocket and how do you make the same thing every month with different visual interest? That is where the pin inspired me!

I don't have the same type of pocket pages that Pretty in Posies does. Instead of two 4x6 pockets on top and bottom with a row of four 3x4 pockets in the middle, my pocket pages have a row of three 4x4 pockets in the middle. But I liked the idea behind Pretty in Posies' layout, so I created my own version to fit inside the pocket sizes I had. You'll see that down below and in more detail in my process video.

I also liked her use of 3x4 photos inside some of the pockets instead of using full 4x6 photos. Another great reminder that it's always okay to cut photos down!

Thanks for looking!
