More Shimelle Inspiration - Scrapbook Process 238

What better way to finish off the month of May than with a layout lifted from a May Shimelle live? I loved the strips of paper at the top and bottom of this layout. This is such an easy design to replicate time and time again. If you want to see how this scrapbook layout came together, then follow this link to my process video.

I didn't follow Shimelle's layout exactly. I did my own thing with layering the paper strips and even in choosing what patterned papers to use. This was a great way to use up some leftover pieces from my May kit. (Perfect for those scrapbookers doing a "shop your stash" challenge!)

I used one of the Vicki Boutin Sweet Rush stencils and two colors of ink to create the mixed media background. I think I'm starting to get the hang of using stencils and ink!

Finding the right embellishments for these photos was tricky, but I went back into my stash for a few chipboard stickers from the old Pinkfresh Studio Office Hours collection. The Pinkfresh enamel dots in the May kit were perfect for adding in some extra dimension and building out the sparse embellishment clusters. Always have enamel dots on hand!

And that's it for today! Thanks for watching!
