How to Scrapbook 2 Photos with Different Orientations - L-Shape Design - Process 236

Have you ever had two photos that you wanted to scrapbook on the same page, but one was vertical and one was horizontal? Were you stumped on how to fit them both on the page in a pleasing layout design? Today's process video shows you how I took two 4x6 photos - one horizontal and one vertical - and create an L-shape on my 12x12 scrapbook page.

The L-shape is easy to do, especially when your photos are both large and can't easily be cut down to a smaller size. Both of my photos were 4x6 size, and I wanted all of the photos to show. How could I cut out that beautiful Christmas tree or crop out part of the "I Heart NY" sign? Placing my photos so that they created the letter "L" was the easiest way to fit them both on the page without unnecessary cropping.

From there, I just kept in mind my favorite rule: always work on the diagonal. So I placed some patterned papers and embellishments on the left-hand side of the top photo and did the same with more patterned paper and embellishments on the right-hand side of the bottom photo.

I also add some misting spray to my all-white alpha stickers title for fun! This was a great page for using up Christmas items in my stash. I hope you give it a try!

Thanks for looking!
