Vanessa is at a fan-fic convention where she is excited to meet her internet girlfriend for the first time. Phoebe is at a percussion competition with her school where she is excited to compete in a solo drumming competition. And Callie is at a taxidermy convention with her dad, where she is excited to have some much-needed bonding time with him.
However, all of their excitement starts to fade when things don't go according to plan. Luckily, the three of them meet, and they come up with a new plan to turn their failed trips into something a lot more memorable.
This is a great book for anyone who has felt like an outsider or for anyone who has been in awkward situations or for anyone who has just needed a friend. I think most kids and adults can relate! It's for ages 12 and up, and I think that's super appropriate.
The Pros of Cons is on bookstore shelves now and is published by Point, an imprint of Scholastic. I received a free review copy for my honest opinion.
